JERRY S. UY

After serving as a 3-term Councilor of Tacloban City (2010 to 2019), and after  dutifully serving as President of the Integrated Bar of the Philippines (Leyte Chapter), Mr. Uy was again recently elected as Tacloban City number 1 Councilor. During all this time, he is also actively engaged in law practice, focusing on taxation and corporate law. He was a student leader during his pre-law and law school years, thus his being a well-loved public servant in his hometown Tacloban today is not a surprise at all. His stint in government, for which he received various commendations and awards, also exposed him to various procurement and PPP-related issues, which experience he also brings as CCV's Special Counsel.

After graduating from the Divine Word University of Tacloban in 1992, Mr. Uy took and passed the bar examinations in the same year. He later engaged in private practice, expanded his business, and took up various business and taxation courses at the Asian Institute of Management (AIM) and Harvard Kennedy School of Government in Boston, USA.

Today, aside from being a successful businessman and public servant, he is dabbles in law practice as part of the CCV Team. He handles corporate compliances and taxation. He has since been re-elected City Councilor and also manages the CCV liaison office in the heart of downtown Tacloban, Leyte, located at the 2nd Floor, 168 M.H. Del Pilar Street, Tacloban City.
